The lies need to stop. This self-depreciating and self-hate behavior has to end for your sake and for the world’s sake. Right here and right now are ten lies that you need to refuse to tell yourself ever again.

  1. I am not good enough. You know what’s not good enough? The people around you making you feel like you are not good enough. You know what is terrible? That little mean voice in your head causing you to doubt how amazing you are.

  2. I am not attractive enough. You know what is not attractive? When people are shallow and talk bad about how others look. So you better ignore those naysayers and stop comparing. Wear the doggone dress! Or rock that clean suit!

  3. I am not tall/short enough. Tough luck. The world is not wide enough to contain your awesomeness.

  4. I am not smart enough. You know what is not smart? The people who had the audacity to tell you this. Give yourself time and mercy, you will get it.

  5. I am not cool enough. You know what’s not cool? People who don’t see that the unique version of you is just what they need.

  6. I am not strong enough. You know what makes you strong? Admitting where you struggle but the willingness to keep living and trying.

  7. I can’t ever do anything right. You know what you can’t do? Ever give up trying.

  8. I don’t deserve love, happiness, etc. You know what you don’t deserve? To feel like you are not worthy of the joys and beauties of the world. Stop thinking and just bask in it. Every single person has a right to joy, including you!

  9. I am behind in life. You know where you are? Right where you need to be. Next step is determining where you want to go. You are the driver. Don’t forget that.

  10. I am not important enough. Are you a human being? You are absolutely just as significant as the rest of the walking souls around here. No one is better or less than another so speak up! Share your piece!

Okay, you ready to erase these phrases from your vocabulary? Promise yourself to never again use these words in one sentence. Promise that you will keep pushing. Promise that you will try tomorrow and the next day and so on. Promise that you will never give up being that uniquely wonderful version of yourself.
